The BIG ASS TOUR is the largest heavy co-headline tour Australia has seen. On announcement, the Daily Telegraph noted that the tour is “a milestone” for heavy music, with The Amity Affliction and A Day To Remember performing in the same arenas hosting mainstream talents such as Sam Smith, Cold Chisel, Elton John and Oprah that month.

Bassist and vocalist of The Amity Affliction, Ahren Stringer, said, “We’re psyched to do this tour with our new friends A Day To Remember! This is the biggest tour we’ve ever done, and it’s going to be something special,” with A Day To Remember vocalist Jeremy McKinnon adding,“Australia is our favorite destination around the world, so we teamed up with our friends The Amity Affliction for one Big Ass Tour!”

The Amity Affliction are a modern phenomenon and one of Australia’s biggest and best-loved bands. The BIG ASS TOUR is their only major capital city shows for this year, which will see the four-piece play to more fans then ever before. Their decade of dominance was recently chronicled in Seems Like Forever, their #1 ARIA-charting DVD which was certified Gold in its first week on shelves. Their latest album Let The Ocean Take Me was their second consecutive #1 ARIA album and their third to reach Gold certification, making Amity a household name around the country.

A testament to the power of hard work and integrity, A Day To Remember have forged their own path from a small town in Florida to magazine covers and festival main stages around the globe, including a headline slot on 2014’s Soundwave Festival. Having sold over 2 million albums worldwide, their latest album Common Courtesy debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock charts and has garnered over 50 million streams on the record to date. The self-released record cemented their standing as one of the most forward-thinking, popular and critically acclaimed bands in rock. the BIG ASS TOUR promises to elevate them even further.

The Ghost Inside and Motionless in White, two of the hottest bands in the scene today, will join The Amity Affliction and A Day To Remember to round out this stellar bill. Los Angeles’The Ghost Inside are keepers of the positive hardcore flame, fuelled by last year’s phenomenally powerful album Dear Youth, and a reputation as artists who never stop the search for truth and honesty. Motionless In White are bringing their highly successful album ‘Reincarnate’ to fans for the first time after it debuted at #13 on the ARIA charts and #9 on the Billboard 200, following two performances on Soundwave Festival in recent years.
