Kicking off in early September, just days after they play the prestigious Reading & Leeds festivals in the UK, The Smith Street Band will return home for another huge Australian tour. In what will be their most far reaching tour to date, the national run will visit every state and territory, making the trip to North Queensland for the very first time for shows in Cairns and Townsville.

Recent American tour buddies, Phoenix’s anti-folk troupe Andrew Jackson Jihad also join the tour along with Ohio’s indie darlings The Sidekicks and Melbourne’s new soul rockers The Sugarcanes. Kicking off at an already sold out hometown 170 Russell show as part of the Poison City Weekender, and finishing up at Wollongong’s Yours & Owls Festival Weekender, this is your last chance to catch The Smith Street Band in Australia this year.

It’s been a huge year for The Smith Street Band following the release of their third full-length album Throw Me In The River and epic touring across Europe, UK and the USA. Recent announcements for their forthcoming festival performances Splendour in The Grass and I Love Life Festivals, now added to with this national run will round out a massive twelve months.
