Bear Family Megan Washington

LIVE PREVIEW: Lost Picnic- Centennial Park, Sydney 23rd March

Sydney is the undisputed king of boutique festivals in Australia. Sydney is constantly serving up mouthwatering samples of culture and live music, showcasing this city’s wealth of creativity and refined tastes.

Lost Picnic is no exception, serving up a delectable combination of fine music and fine food over a full day at Sydney’s beautiful Centennial Park on Sunday March 23rd.

Lost Picnic is headlined by the musical talents of the Aria award winning Washington, as well as some of Australia’s most promising young talent including The Rubens, Emma Louise, and Dustin Tebbutt.

Headliner Megan Washington has witnessed a meteoric rise to fame since her discovery through Triple J Unearthed in 2009. Her debut album ‘I Believe You Liar‘ peaked at number 3 on the Aria charts and won her the award of ‘Best Female Artist’ at the 2010 Aria awards. With a new album on the way, make sure you are among the first to hear brand new Washington material at Lost Picnic 2014!

Lost Picnic also features singer songwriter Dustin Tebbut,  his haunting, Bon Iver inspired melodies sure to create a fitting atmosphere early in the day. For those in more of a mood to get up and dance, Melbourne band The Rubens will be bringing hits such as ‘My Gun‘ and ‘Lay it Down‘ to the Lost Picnic stage, with front-man Sam Margin’s rock and roll charm sure to wow your socks off.

But where Lost Picnic really soars above its peers is the addition of gourmet picnic hampers curated by some of Sydney’s finest foodies, including Maurice Terzini of the famous Bondi restaurant Icebergs and a collaboration between chef Martin Boetz and catering geniuses The Keystone Group. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.

The promoters of this unique festival promise a truly bohemian experience, with the combination of beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere a thoroughly tempting invitation for music and food lovers alike.
