Boy & Bear have just been announced on a slew of overseas festivals and are in the midst of their biggest ever Australian tour. After a long hiatus from Australian headline shows, the 5 piece are back in town.
After the release of their latest album Limit of Love, the boys (and the bears) were in a hot vein of form on Saturday night, with a packed out festival hall relishing the chance to hear their favourite tracks in action for the first time in 18 months.
Boy & Bear smashed through all the hits, including a golden oldie in Rabbit Song, Hottest 100 shoe in Walk the Wire and a very special cover version of a track by everyone’s favourite beehive haired diva. Sounding very little like the folk-crooners they once were, Boy & Bear certainly had been working on the step up to bigger venues, bigger songs and a step towards becoming one of Australia’s big names overseas.
