Kingsway Arcade Bar for the crispest Gin and Tonics & best local
beers. With South Coast Canteen right across the road for a quick
fried chicken snack as well, it’s the perfect place for a boozy

Anywhere close to the CBD, there are a heap of cute cottages with
fireplaces scattered around the place.
Where to Party?
Bakers Lane, whenever our old pal Ryan AKA Akouo is on the decks
you’re sure to have the kind of night where you wake up with sore
muscles from tearing up the d-floor hardcore.
Where to eat at 2am?
Pizza Kom – Mev (the owner) is a local legend, one of the kindest
blokes around. Go for the $10 rocket box, it’s got anything you’d
need at 2am in there.
Where to find your new favourite band?
The Oak is a classic pub to visit when you’re in need of some good
live music and a Boags red. Some good ol’ counter meals too, what
could go wrong?
Where to escape the tourists?
Ansens Bay or St. Helens are good places to go off the track and
explore. Tasmania should be the road trip state of Australia,
there’s a heap of walks with amazing untouched scenery. A lot of
the time on these beaches and walks, you’ll be the only person for
20km. It’s a humbling feeling, some ‘oh my god I’m so small in the
universe’ type of introspective shit.
Where to spend your hungover days?
When it’s warm, the Gorge is a great place to wash away your sins
and let some sweet Vitamin D heal you. When it’s cold – find a
warm living room full of good mates, cups of tea & Harry Potter
What to complain about with other locals?
In the Brisbane St mall there are these strange plastic pillows
that talk when you sit on them. The amount of times we’ve watched
children run and jump onto them thinking it’s a soft pillow only
to watch them bounce off is both hilarious and unfortunate.
